The Council on Aging is an organized commitment by the population of the Town of Mashpee to coordinate or carry out human service, educational, social and Recreational services and programs for the senior community.
The Mashpee Council on Aging is located at the Mashpee Senior Center. It provides comprehensive recreational, social and educational activities, as well as legal, health insurance, and tax assistance appointments.
Additionally, the Outreach Program assists seniors and their families in navigating the complex maze of homemaker and home health services, in order to assist seniors to remain safe and independent. The Senior Center van transports Mashpee seniors to various local destinations, such as grocery stores and doctors’ offices. Volunteers at the Senior Center assist with all the programs and are a vital part of neighbors helping their neighbors.
