In order to provide the ultimate mixture of cultural programs to the Town of Mashpee, the Mashpee Cultural Council has set the following guidelines:
Local Sponsor – all applicants must have a local sponsor. Please contact the Mashpee Library, Mashpee Schools, Senior Center, Recreation Department, or other appropriate organization, in order to coordinate the location and timeframe of your event. A letter of support from your local sponsor MUST be attached with your application.
Applications for grants must be submitted by October 15th of each year. Letters of Approval are sent out by the end of December and recipients have one year from that date to submit for reimbursement.
The approximate number of Mashpee residents impacted by the proposed project must be included in your application.
Letters of recommendation are encouraged.
Category Spread – MCC is interested in providing a variety of cultural events to the town. As such, applications will be reviewed based on variety.
Tourist Attraction – MCC would like to tap into the tourist season and capitalize on events that will take advantage of our increased population during the summer months.
Address Local Needs – Project must benefit Mashpee’s community.
Applications - Applicants must submit one original application plus eight copies for Cultural Council members.
