IMPORTANT CHANGE DUE TO COVID-19: MASHPEE HUMAN SERVICES IS NOW TAKING FUEL ASSISTANCE APPLICATIONS OVER THE PHONE. THE APPLICATION WILL BE FILLED OUT AND SENT TO SOUTH SHORE COMMUNITY ACTION WHERE THEY WILL BEGIN PROCESSING IT AND SENT BACK OUT TO YOU FOR FURTHER INFORMATION.  SOUTH SHORE COMMUNITY ACTION HAS STARTED AN ONLINE PORTAL FOR NEW FUEL ASSISTANCE APPLICATION, PLEASE GO TO:  www.sscac.org IF YOU ARE ABLE TO APPLY ONLINE.

Mashpee Human Services is an outreach site for Fuel Assistance Applications for individuals and families under age 60. The Mashpee Senior Center is an outreach site for those individuals and families age 60 and above.  The phone number for Mashpee Senior Center is 508-539-1440. The Fuel Assistance Program is run through South Shore Community Action Council in Plymouth and begins November 1, 2023 and runs through April, 2024. 
 
Information you will need to pull together in applying for Fuel Assistance:
 
*Last 4 weeks gross income for everyone in the household 18 years and older. All income must be
documented such as Paystubs, Unemployment, Child Support, Veterans,Pension, SSI, etc.
(Note: Any adult receiving income for a minor must have proof of that income)
      *Self-Employed: You will need a copy of the complete 2022 federal tax returns with all pages,
       schedules1099's and W'2's. if self prepared signature pages must be notarized and a certified copy
       of your tax return must be requested from the IRS.
*Full Time Students will need documentation from the school or college
You will also need the following documents:
*Complete electric bill
*Heating Bill
*Water and Sewer Bills
*Mortgage,Homeowners Insurance, Real Estate Tax or Lease
*Photo Id for head of household
*Social Security Cards for all
*Birth dates for all
