These NO COST combined flu/COVID clinics are open to residents and non-residents of the Town of Mashpee.  They are being held by the Mashpee Board of Health, in cooperation with Cape Cod Healthcare Pharmacy, the VNA of Cape Cod and volunteers of the Mashpee Council on Aging.  Pre-registration is required.

PLEASE NOTE:

Masks are encouraged inside the Parish Hall.

Both the regular and senior-dose (quadrivalent) flu vaccine will be offered at these clinics. 

The new (bivalent) Pfizer and Moderna boosters are the only COVID vaccines being offered at these clinics.

It is safe to get both the flu vaccine and COVID booster at these clinics.

ELIGIBILITY:

FLU:  Persons 6 months of age and older are eligible to receive the flu vaccine.  Only persons 65 years and older are eligible for the senior-dose flu vaccine. 

COVID:  Persons 12 years of age and older are eligible to receive the bivalent booster, if it has been at least 2 months since your last COVID vaccine.  If you have had a severe allergic reaction after a previous dose of the COVID vaccine, you cannot receive the new COVID booster.

PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

PRECAUTIONS:

You should check with your physician prior to getting the flu vaccine and/or the new COVID booster if any of the following apply:

You are immunocompromised.

You are breastfeeding or pregnant, or plan to become pregnant.

You have severe or life-threatening allergies.

You have a history of Guillain-Barre Syndrome within 6 weeks of receipt of the flu vaccine.

You have had an allergic reaction after a previous dose of the flu vaccine.

You have a history of myocarditis, pericarditis, thrombosis or thrombocytopenia.
