How do I get information about my septic system?

For information about your on-site septic system and/or the number of bedrooms your property is permitted for, or to get copies of your septic design plan, septic as-built or septic inspections, please call 508-539-1426.  If you are not the homeowner, please email spacheco@mashpeema.gov.

What are the minimum setbacks for septic components?

The following chart shows the minimum required setbacks for septic components:

**For new construction or an increase in flow, a 150' setback is required from a coastal bank/dune (if it is an eroding bank) or a variance may be requested.  If it's existing and there is no increase in flow proposed, there is a 50' setback to the coastal bank/dune.
