Mashpee Senior Center Transportation

There are two options available for transportation through the Senior Center:

1. The Mashpee Senior Center Mini Bus (handicap accessible with a wheelchair lift)

The Senior Center Mini Bus operates on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday between the hours of 9:00am - 1:30pm.

Grocery Stores

Pharmacies

Medical / Dental / Eye Appointments

Post Office

Bank

Trips for medical/ dental/ eye appointments within the towns of Sandwich and Falmouth are also offered on a limited basis during the minibus operating days and hours. (Ride requests for this service should be made 5 working days prior to your appointment date).

Requests for the grocery store, pharmacy, post office and the bank should be made a minimum of 48 hours in advance.

To request your ride, call the Mashpee Senior Center at (508) 539-1440 and leave the following information with our receptionist:

Once the ride request has been made the driver will get back to you to inform you if your ride is confirmed. Please don't assume your ride is all set after requesting it, only the mini bus driver can confirm that he is able to accommodate your request after looking at his other requests for that day.

2. Volunteer Driver Program (Medical Transportation)

Through our volunteers, rides to local doctors' appointments can be arranged (if unable to schedule on a day our Mini Bus operates). Please note, the volunteer driver program is for transportation to medical appointments ONLY. Each older adult is allowed a maximum of 3 rides per month. The rider must be able to get in and out of the vehicle independently. Volunteer rides are for Mashpee residents ages 59 1/2 years and older. There is a suggested voluntary donation of $5 for communities within a 10 mile radius (Sandwich, Falmouth, and Hyannis), a $10 donation for communities within a 20 mile radius (Bourne and Yarmouth), and a $15 donation for communities within a 30 mile radius (Plymouth & Wareham).

The Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA)

In addition, the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA) provides public transportation to residents and visitors for all 15 Cape Cod communities. CCRTA services include: Fixed Route Bus Service - year-round routes.

Dial-a-ride Transportation (DART) Service is a daily general public service that is door-to-door, any purpose. Boston Hospital Transportation is a transportation service to Boston area hospitals that runs Monday through Friday (no holidays), by reservation. Mass Health Members may be eligible to obtain a PT-1 for transportation. Talk with your Primary Care Physician in regards to obtaining one. PT-1’s can be used for any of your Mass Health providers.
