Who needs a permit from the BOH?
The following are required to be licensed/permitted by the Board of Health, through PermitEyes, prior to operating in the Town of Mashpee:

- Mobile Food Vendor
- Temporary Food Establishment/Special Events
- Tobacco Sales
- Marijuana Establishment
- Recreational Camp for Children
- Licensed Utility Installer
- Septic Installer
- Septic Inspector (Registration only)
- Septage Hauler/Pumper
- Short-Term Rental
- Trash Hauler
- Semi-Public Swimming Pool
- Semi-Public Hot Tub/Spa
- Funeral Director
- Body Art Practitioner (Tattooist)
- Body Work Practitioner (Reiki, Reflexology, Acupressure)
- Tanning Salon
- Stable
- Poultry (Registration only)
Septic installers must have a valid Disposal Works Septic Construction Permit from the Board of Health prior to construction, repair, upgrade, or abandonment of an on-site septic system, and well drillers must have a valid Well Permit from the Board of Health prior to installation of a potable or irrigation well.
What is PermitEyes and how do I use it?
PermitEyes is the Town of Mashpee’s online permitting system. The Mashpee Building Department, Health Department and Select Board each have a “module” in PermitEyes, where residents, business owners, and contractors can apply for a variety of licenses and permits.
