Cyanobacteria Warning - Santuit Pond

Please be advised: Santuit Pond is under a Cyanobacteria advisory as of 10/4/23 based on a significant scum layer present. : Since 2008, Mass. Department of Public Health has recommended that individuals be advised not to contact the water when a visible scum or mat is present, the total cyanobacteria cell count exceeds 70,000 cells per milliliter of water (cells/ml), or the microcystin ( toxin associated with cyanobacteria species) level equals or exceeds 14 parts per billion (ppb).
