Thursday, November 2, 2023 Thursday, November 9, 2023
3:00 PM to 6:00 PM 9:00 AM to 12 NOON
These NO COST clinics are open to residents and non-residents of the Town of Mashpee, and are being held by the Mashpee Board of Health in cooperation with Cape Cod Healthcare Pharmacy, the VNA of Cape Cod and volunteers from the Mashpee Council on Aging.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Pre-registration is required.
- At the November 9th clinic only, Barnstable County Public Health Nurses will be offering complimentary blood pressure screenings, blood glucose readings, nutritional snack w/recipe, and general health advice and educational resources.
- The regular and senior-dose (quadrivalent) flu vaccine will be offered at both clinics.
ELIGIBILITY:
- Persons 5 years of age and older are eligible to receive the flu vaccine at this clinic.
- Only persons 65 years and older are eligible for the senior-dose flu vaccine.
PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
Schedule an appointment using one of the following options:
- PREFERRED – Schedule an appointment in MyChart
- PREFERRED – Schedule an appointment online by visiting the Vaccination Appointments page of the Cape Cod Healthcare website, or by clicking the following link https://www.capecodhealth.org/medical-services/pharmacy/vaccination-appointments/
- Contact Cape Cod Healthcare Central Scheduling by calling 508-862-7000 and choosing Option #1
PRECAUTIONS:
- People with a known or suspected severe, life-threatening allergy to any ingredient in a flu vaccine (other than egg proteins) should not get that vaccine. This might include gelatin, antibiotics or other ingredients.
People with the following conditions should talk with their healthcare provider prior to getting the flu vaccine:
- If you have an allergy to eggs or any of the ingredients in the vaccine.
- If you have had a severe allergic reaction to a previous dose of any flu vaccine.
- If you have a history of Guillain-Barré Syndrome.
- If you are feeling ill or have had a fever within 24 hours prior to receiving the vaccine.
ACCEPTED INSURANCES:
- Medicare Part B (bring card)
- Persons without Medicare B
- All other insurances
- Uninsured individuals
